Some of you may ask, what's a real author? When does one become an author? Well, there are many answers for you
1. When you publish a book something
2.When you finish something (book, song, poem)
3.When you find that it's truly something you love
4.When you're good at it Etc., and on and on.
So, which one is right? I have something to tell you. I don't think any are "right". We can't really stereotype the term 'author' because there are so many out in this world. Everyone has written something, so therefore, they must be a writer at least. I know of several people who haven't published anything but still consider themselves authors, and I would believe them.
Like me, for instance. I love writing, it's so much fun to do something that no one else has to see. But I love dancing much more, so I would call myself a dancer sooner then I would call myself an author. I think I can write okay, I'm going to get something self-publish eventually, but I don't think I'd call myself an author.
I would say that a real author is someone who loves what they're doing and has intentions of doing it in the future. Maybe me, I don't know yet. Right now, I certainly love writing and I really think it's a good thing for me to do. I don't think that a real author is someone who doesn't make spelling errors or who knows all the rules of punctuation forwards and backwards. I think it's someone who loves what they're doing and wouldn't trade it for something else. I would never trade my writing for knitting or rock climbing. I would trade it for dancing, but that's beside the point.
That's how I think an author is, what about you? Do you agree with me? Do you not? Comment or email and say, we love to hear from you.
