Poems....

Well, sorry for not posting for a while. Well, at least from me (iGirl). I haven't exactly been busy, but I've been doing a lot of stuff.

Recently, I've been getting back into writing poetry. Now, my poems aren't like Izori's. They aren't beautifully written and fantasy-ish, they're plain and simple and oftentimes, depressing. The reason for this? I write poems when I'm moody. Poems and songs. They're just the things that I write when I'm not feeling like myself.

I'm not saying that this is a good thing or a bad thing, I'm just saying that it's a thing. It's what I do. Some people write poetry from inspiration and some people write poetry from cool things that have happened to them. Some people, like Shel Silverstein, write hilarious song/poems. Other people, like Emily Dickinson wrote very mysterious poems.

Nothing is really wrong in terms of poetry. You can write whatever you want. So that's all for now, I'm sorry if this didn't help you out at all, it's just my take on it. Don't feel bad if you aren't the type of poet who write long poems that make people think, sometimes light fluffy ones are just as good. :)

  1. I am an amateur photographer (and retired hs biology teacher) who likes to occasionally jot down my thoughts. Mostly I do an online daily devotional called sonrays.org ... photos with quotations. But I also (more randomly) do a blog (asigrowinfaith.com) where I attempt to write my own reflections. The words do not come easily for me. :)

I want to encourage both of you to continue posting your poetry and writings. Being a J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis fan as well as many other fantasy authors, I too have an interest in fantasy (particularly that which has a moral/spiritual theme).

    God bless!
