That Time of Year!

Hey, everyone! This is Izori bringing your attention--if you haven't heard of it already--to something completely awesome! When you do this, your writing skills will expand like a balloon inflated with helium (and it won't sink over time, hopefully). I seriously suggest you consider doing this, and that's why I'm letting you know ahead of time so you can plan.

But what is this, exactly?

This, my friends, is one of the best ideas in the world. This is NaNoWriMo. National Novel Writing Month. It's a writing program that pushes aspiring authors to reach a sky-high goal of 50,000 words in the month of November. A 50,000 word book in 30 days.

You might be looking at your screen with your mouth wide open. What? You're saying. Are you crazy? I have a life, you know!

Yes, it does sound crazy. But believe me, it's not impossible. I have done NaNoWriMo two years in a row so far, and there is no way I can list all the ways in which is it completely awesome. Let me try.

1. It made me realize that I can begin--and finish--a book.
2. It showed me what I can do if I set my mind to it.
3. It took my writing skills to a totally new level.
4. It introduced me to other people who were just like me. A bit crazy, but passionate about writing.

Even if you think you can't do it--50,000 words! Not me!--you really should try. Don't feel as if you absolutely must reach your word count or awful things will happen. It's okay if you decide NaNo's not for you, but at least give it a try.

I guarantee that you won't regret it, or your money back.

Just kiddin'. I'm keeping the money.

Double kiddin'. NaNoWriMo is absolutely free.

If you're interested, click -->HERE <--to get to the official NaNoWriMo website. Sign up has not yet started, but it's nice to know in advance. That way you can begin outlining your future novel. =)

Yours without wax,

Izori
