Writing Style: Introduction

Writing style is like an egg. You can spend hours studying just the shell, and then you crack it open and realize there's so much more. I'm afraid anything I say about this topic will just scrape the surface, but I'll attempt to be helpful.

This will be a series of posts dealing with some of the different aspects to writing style. These aren't masterfully written or vastly insightful--it's just my observations and opinions.
