It's important to have a break once in a while when you're writing. If you have a friend coming over for a couple days you should plan that you won't get much, if any, writing done. It's not a problem, other then there's a chance for Writer's Block. But that's not likely.
I have just taken one of these breaks. It start on Saturday, I had dance rehearsals all morning and then a birthday party directly from there and I didn't get home until 11. On Sunday I woke up late and went to church and taught preschool and was completely zonked out the rest of the afternoon. On Monday we had a friend over and then I had ballet and then I had to eat dinner and go to bed. Good thing I don't have school this week :). My point is, I have not written anything, except for blog posts and stuff. But it's not a problem!
Don't beat yourself up when you don't write for a few days, if you know that you won't get a chance too, or you're sick or you just are busy. If you don't write because you simply don't want to and you do have time, you and me better have a talk ;).
I know that this week I'll have time to write, this afternoon, tomorrow afternoon, tonight after ballet...... I'm not stressing over it. I didn't know that I wouldn't have any time at all in the past three days, if I had I would have planned ahead, but I didn't and I can't fix it.
So, don't stress out if you can't write. It's fine, your book is there waiting for you with a smile on its face. Unless, of course, you're at a very intense part where someone is dying, then it's more like a terrified scream. Hehe.
