The Big Brother Character

I don't know about you all, but I am absolutely in love with the Big Brother Character, or the BBC. What do I mean by this? I guess I'll have to show you.

The big brother character is strong and brave, always looking out for someone, they have a lot to them, and have their weak moments. They are older then the Main Character. Maybe it's because I don't have a brother that I like them so much, but I can't get myself to stop writing about them. When I read about one, they almost immediately become one of my favorites.

The BBC doesn't need to be a brother to the main character, they can be cousins, friends, mentors, uncles--whatever. My BBC in my current book, Invisible Angels, is Corey Manson. He's my main character's cousin who is two years her senior, and I debated having him die, but I couldn't kill him off, I would go into depression. Not really. Well, maybe, but I digress.

Corey is always looking out for Jocelyn, my main character, he's a lot of fun, he's a Christian, he likes running,  he's in a band, he is easily worried and he had baby blue eyes, I focus on they a lot. By the way, this is the guy that I picture to be Corey, though I might change it later.

Not my picture. The actor's name is Devon Werkheiser,  I can never spell it right though.
The main reason I picked him is because of his eyes, they just work perfectly.

Anyway, I love the BBC a lot, almost as much as I love my main characters, they are the ones the I get attached to the most easily. I've recently been experimenting with sibling-like relationships, so the one between him and Jocelyn is a lot of fun to write out. But, man, it does get sappy sometimes, I'll have to change some things about it later.
